Bengaluru: Oben Electric, a Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle startup, has successfully closed its extended Series A round, raising ₹50 crore in May 2025, bringing its total Series A funding to ₹100 crore and overall capital raised to ₹200 crore.

The fresh round saw participation from Helios Holdings, Sharda family office, Kay family, and existing investors – underscoring investor confidence in Oben’s innovation-driven business model and scaling ability.

This capital injection will fuel the company’s rapid expansion strategy – aiming to launch 150+ showrooms across 50+ cities in FY26 – along with scaling its vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities and fast-tracking development of the ‘O100’ platform, focused on affordable electric motorcycles priced under ₹1 lakh.

“Oben Electric has a differentiated position in India’s EV market with vertically integrated components and promising financial traction,” said Sandesh, representing the Sharda family office. “We’re confident this company will become India’s first global electric motorcycle brand.”

The company’s previous raise in January 2025 helped Oben grow its retail footprint to 37 outlets across 26 cities in 13 states, tapping into major markets such as Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

“This extended Series A funding reflects the momentum we’re building across India,” said Madhumita Agrawal, Founder & CEO of Oben Electric. “With our O100 platform, we’re making electric motorcycles truly accessible. This capital will help us scale faster while innovating responsibly.”
