Pune: L&T Technology Services (BSE: 540115, NSE: LTTS), a provider of AI, digital, and engineering research and development services, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Global Development Center (GDC) in Pune as part of a multi-year collaboration with Austria-headquartered PALFINGER.

The LTTS PALFINGER Global Development Center has been established to accelerate product development and support PALFINGER’s localization and digital transformation roadmap across India and the Asia-Pacific region.

Anchored within LTTS’ Mobility segment, the new GDC will focus on advancing PALFINGER’s global and India-centric product engineering initiatives by leveraging LTTS’ AI-driven engineering processes and deep domain expertise.

The LTTS PALFINGER global development center is designed to enhance innovation velocity, improve speed-to-market, and align with PALFINGER’s broader growth strategy for APAC, with India as a key strategic market.

The inauguration of the LTTS PALFINGER Global Development Center marks a significant expansion of the long-standing collaboration between the two organizations.

Under this engagement, LTTS will provide a comprehensive suite of engineering and digital services, including embedded software development, product lifecycle management (PLM) migration, advanced computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulations, and digital mock-up capabilities.

These offerings are expected to strengthen PALFINGER’s product portfolio while supporting its sourcing and localization programs.

AI capabilities are integrated across the engineering workflows at the GDC, covering areas such as design automation, simulation, and predictive intelligence.

This approach will enable PALFINGER to accelerate development cycles, enhance operational efficiency, and improve responsiveness to its global customer base.

Senior leadership from both LTTS and PALFINGER were present at the Pune inauguration, underscoring the strategic importance of the initiative.

Alexander Susanek, Chief Operating Officer, PALFINGER, said that the partnership with LTTS significantly expands PALFINGER’s engineering capacity in a key growth market.

He added that the investment aligns with the company’s Strategy 2030+ and strengthens its presence in strategically important regions such as APAC, with India playing a central role in its global integration and local empowerment plans.

Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President, Mobility and Tech at L&T Technology Services, stated that the new GDC will function as a strategic innovation hub.

He noted that the center will combine AI-powered simulation and embedded engineering to help PALFINGER develop future-ready solutions while achieving faster development timelines and improved cost competitiveness.
