Pune: ENGIE, a global leader in low-carbon energy and sustainable services, has officially launched the ENGIE Global Enterprise Startup Program, a pioneering initiative aimed at collaborating with enterprise-ready startups to solve operational and technological challenges within India’s renewable energy landscape.
The ENGIE Global Enterprise Startup Program focuses on fostering partnerships with startups that are building innovative solutions leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies.
The program’s primary goal is to enhance operational efficiency, optimize renewable infrastructure, and contribute to India’s broader energy transition objectives.

ENGIE Global Enterprise Startup Program: Drive AI and Digital-Led Clean Energy Solutions
At the core of the initiative lies Urja.ai powered by ENGIE, a collaborative platform designed to accelerate innovation through strategic startup engagement.
The program will strengthen ENGIE’s collaboration with startups across multiple segments, including business development, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), operations and maintenance (O&M), and energy trading.
The program will also support ENGIE India’s new energy trading business, which uses advanced analytics and digital platforms to enhance market participation.
By combining startup agility with ENGIE’s industrial expertise, the company aims to co-create solutions that deliver measurable impact on India’s clean energy journey.
Focus on India’s Energy Transition and Startup Collaboration

Startup Selection and Program Timeline
Applications for the ENGIE Global Enterprise Startup Program will open in October 2025, followed by evaluations in November. A pitch day will take place in December 2025 to shortlist high-potential startups, with selected participants beginning engagements in January 2026.
Selected startups will gain opportunities to execute pilot projects with ENGIE India, receive guidance from ENGIE’s senior leadership, and access potential grant funding to scale their innovations.
Global Reach and Evaluation Criteria
The program is open to mature startups from India and overseas. Participants will be evaluated based on the novelty of their solutions, relevance to ENGIE’s focus areas, and their proven record of successful implementation.
