Bengaluru: Lucio, an AI-native legal workspace platform designed by lawyers, has raised $5 million in a funding round led by DeVC and high-net-worth investors Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi.

The investment will help Lucio accelerate its global expansion and deepen its product innovation to address the evolving, practice-specific needs of legal professionals.

Lucio Strengthens AI Capabilities to Transform Legal Workflows

Trusted by over 200 organizations globally, including enterprise law firms, corporate legal teams, and boutique firms, Lucio serves more than 3,000 lawyers across nine jurisdictions.

The platform’s focus on adoption-first design, personalization, and advanced legal reasoning sets it apart in the legal technology space.

Lawyers use Lucio for drafting, reviewing extensive document sets, conducting due diligence, performing legal research, and translating legal materials – achieving an average time savings of 30 hours per lawyer each month.

The fresh infusion of capital will support two key initiatives: expanding product offerings by embedding AI into every workspace where lawyers operate, and enhancing personalization to deliver localized, frictionless legal AI experiences across jurisdictions.

Seamless Integration into Legal Workflows

“Most legal tech doesn’t fail in demos; it fails at desks,” said Vasu Aggarwal, co-founder of Lucio. “We are building Lucio to disappear into everyday legal workflows, meeting lawyers where they are, improving the quality of their work, and helping them rediscover their passion for the law.”

Co-founder Darsan Guruvayurappan added, “Legal AI isn’t just about efficiency – it’s about reimagining the experience for clients, attorneys, and all stakeholders involved in the practice of law. Our investors’ trust enables us to take the company’s mission to a global stage.”
