Bengaluru: ABB India, in collaboration with Microsoft and SynerLeap, has announced Cloudworx as the winner of the ABB Startup Challenge India 2025, recognizing its AI-powered innovation aimed at advancing smart drive technology and accelerating energy efficiency.
Selected from over 100 visionary startups, Cloudworx impressed the jury with its AI-powered 3D visualization technology that simplifies drive and motor selection, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
The winning solution enables dynamic, AI-driven digital replicas of industrial processes, offering real-time monitoring, simulation, and continuous improvement capabilities for customers.

Cloudworx AI-Powered Solution to Advance Smart Drive Technology
Through this collaboration, ABB Motion’s Drive Products division will work directly with Cloudworx to co-develop a market-ready solution that integrates ABB drives more seamlessly into industrial systems, with potential for a global rollout across ABB’s customer and partner network.
Cloudworx received a $30,000 project prize, mentorship from Microsoft and SynerLeap’s startup advisors, along with a six-month SynerLeap membership to accelerate product development and market readiness.
ABB Startup Challenge India 2025: Fostering Industrial Innovation through AI
Themed “Advancing Smart Drive Technology with AI Innovation,” the ABB Startup Challenge India 2025 invited startups to explore how artificial intelligence can analyze drive data and application requirements to help OEMs identify the ideal ABB motor-drive match for their needs.

Over 100 Startups Participate in the Challenge’s India Debut
Hosted for the first time in India, the ABB Startup Challenge 2025 attracted over 100 innovative startups, with seven finalists showcasing their AI-led solutions in Bengaluru.
The event, now in its sixth year, has previously been held across Europe and the United States, and continues to promote open innovation in the industrial automation sector.
