Bengaluru: Wellnesys Technologies Private Limited, a Bengaluru-based startup, has received financial assistance from the Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, to support the commercialization of its AI-powered YogiFi Smart Yoga Mat.
The funding reinforces the government’s commitment to strengthening India’s deep-tech startup ecosystem and enabling indigenous innovations to move from laboratory development to large-scale market adoption.
The support extended to Wellnesys Technologies is aimed at accelerating the commercialization of its flagship innovation, the YogiFi Smart Sensor Fabric Mat, which integrates artificial intelligence and sensor technology to deliver real-time feedback and guided yoga experiences.
Through this initiative, Wellnesys Technologies seeks to scale production and expand the availability of AI-enabled wellness technology developed in India.

The project, titled “YogiFi Smart Sensor Fabric Mat Commercialization with Autonomous and Self-Reliant Systems,” focuses on strengthening indigenous manufacturing capabilities and enabling large-scale production of advanced wellness technology.
By supporting Wellnesys Technologies, the Technology Development Board is contributing to the Government of India’s broader vision of promoting preventive healthcare, digital wellness technologies, and self-reliant manufacturing under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The YogiFi Smart Yoga Mat, developed by Wellnesys Technologies, integrates advanced sensor fabrics with artificial intelligence to provide real-time posture correction and feedback to users during yoga sessions.
The smart mat connects to a dedicated mobile application that delivers guided yoga sessions, performance insights, and analytics designed to help users improve posture accuracy and maintain consistency in their wellness routines.
Through this technology, Wellnesys Technologies is combining modern digital capabilities with the traditional practice of yoga. The platform aims to transform yoga practice into a measurable and interactive experience while maintaining the authenticity of the discipline.

The promoters of Wellnesys Technologies Private Limited expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Technology Development Board. They noted that the financial assistance would help accelerate the company’s efforts to scale manufacturing and expand the global presence of the YogiFi Smart Yoga Mat.
According to the company, the support will enable Wellnesys Technologies to enhance production capacity while strengthening its ability to deliver AI-driven wellness solutions to both domestic and international markets. The initiative also reflects the growing role of Indian startups in shaping the global digital wellness ecosystem.
