Puneet Mathur Elevated to Chief Information Officer at CARD91

Bengaluru: CARD91, a leading B2B payment infrastructure platform, has announced the promotion of Puneet Mathur to Chief Information Officer (CIO).

The leadership appointment reflects CARD91’s commitment to building secure, scalable, and compliant payment solutions for banks, NBFCs, and fintechs.

Puneet Mathur joined CARD91 in 2020 as Vice President – Client Solutioning and has been instrumental in leading the company’s enterprise-grade card and UPI integration frameworks.

With more than 24 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems implementation, and product innovation, Puneet has driven the delivery of high-performance, regulation-compliant infrastructure across India’s evolving digital payments ecosystem.

Puneet Mathur: Alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Calcutta

A dual alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Calcutta, Puneet has held leadership roles at Citigroup and co-founded tech ventures such as YoGems and HytechPro, where he served as CTO.

In his new role as CIO, Puneet will lead CARD91’s end-to-end technology strategy, including platform innovation, data security, and regulatory compliance. He will also oversee strategic collaborations with ecosystem partners to enable next-gen payment experiences.
