Mumbai: Pressto India has announced the appointment of Sumant Kasliwal as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, marking a strategic move as the company accelerates its national expansion and strengthens its direct-to-consumer and omni-channel presence across India.
With this appointment, Sumant Kasliwal will lead Pressto India’s overall strategy and operations, focusing on enhancing customer experience, scaling the brand nationally, and reinforcing operational discipline as the company enters its next phase of growth in the premium Clean & Care segment.
Commenting on the leadership appointment, Jayanta Banerjee, Director, Pressto India, said that Sumant Kasliwal brings deep experience in building consumer brands and omni-channel businesses, which will be instrumental in expanding Pressto’s footprint and capabilities across key markets.

He noted that while customers are investing more in high-value garments, footwear, and accessories, professional care services in this category remain limited and fragmented.

According to Sumant Kasliwal, garment, footwear, bag, and accessory care is a specialised category where trust, technical expertise, and quality are critical.
He stated that Pressto has built strong credibility through its long-standing presence, adherence to international standards, and leadership in premium care services.
Going forward, the company will focus on scaling these standards consistently at a national level, supported by innovation, best practices, and category-specific research and development.
He further added that immediate priorities include improving customer convenience, turnaround times, and service reach through technology, while maintaining strong unit economics and operational consistency.
With a strong presence across key metro cities, Pressto aims to scale nationally and serve customers across locations, while exploring opportunities to extend trusted care solutions into premium home and lifestyle categories over time.

Currently, Pressto operates over 50 stores across eight cities in India and has expanded its footprint with the launch of 13 new stores this year, including entry into Hyderabad.
The brand has established itself as a leader in premium dry cleaning, shoe and bag care, repair, and restoration services.
Pressto follows a boutique in-store cleaning model, where each garment undergoes a customised, individualised process.
The company is the only dry cleaner in India to distil its cleaning solvent after every cycle, ensuring higher hygiene standards.
Its service portfolio includes dry cleaning and laundry, shoe and bag care, repair and restoration, alterations, soft furnishing care, designer wear care, and an express two-hour service.
Sumant Kasliwal brings over two decades of experience across consumer technology, fashion, e-commerce, retail, and digital businesses.
Prior to joining Pressto, he served as Business Head and Senior Vice President – Private Labels (Western Wear) at Nykaa Fashion, where he led portfolio strategy, brand development, and profitability.
He is also the Founder and former CEO of Twenty Dresses, a women’s fashion brand acquired by Nykaa in 2019. Following the acquisition, Sumant Kasliwal played a key role in building Nykaa Fashion’s business, including launching in-house brands such as RSVP and NYKD, and leading offline expansion to over 150 points of sale within two years.
