Chennai: ZF CVCS (ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited) has secured a major business nomination from a prominent Indian electric commercial vehicle (CV) manufacturer to develop and calibrate an advanced ADAS suite that aligns with the upcoming GSR 184e safety regulation.
The company’s market-ready solution, certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), supports compliance with new Indian road safety standards and expands its presence across multiple electric CV platforms.
ZF CVCS Leads ADAS Deployment Across Electric CV Platforms
The nomination awarded to ZF CVCS covers ADAS development for a diverse set of electric vehicle platforms, including 13.5-meter coaches, 55-tonne trucks, and 7m, 9m, and 12m buses.

Designed for scalability, the solution supports SAE Level 2 automation while being adaptable for higher global automation levels.
Equipped with ZF’s OnGuardMAX and short-range radar systems, the ADAS suite offers 16 advanced functionalities such as Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning System (DDAWS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), and Moving Off Information System (MOIS).
ZF CVCS Ensures Regulatory Compliance and Real-World Validation
The ADAS suite developed by ZF CVCS has been validated over more than 300,000 km on Indian roads, along with an additional 65,000 km in collaboration with OEM customers.
The solution meets Indian homologation and AIS standards, including:
- AIS-162 – AEBS
- AIS-184 – DDAW
- AIS-186 – BSIS
- AIS-187 – MOIS
- AIS-188 – LDWS
The system is fully compliant with GSR 184e, ensuring readiness for implementation across upcoming vehicle models.
