New Delhi: Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited and a key player in India’s IoT and telecom space, has unveiled its ambitious plan to enable 12 million smart meters nationwide over the next three years.

This milestone initiative underscores Vi Business’s commitment to strengthening India’s energy infrastructure through digital transformation, in line with the goals of the India Smart Grid Mission.

By facilitating one of the largest smart metering rollouts in the country, Vi Business is actively driving innovation in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), accelerating the shift toward a sustainable and digitally connected energy ecosystem.

The deployment of these meters will allow power distribution companies (DISCOMs) to significantly reduce Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses, while enabling real-time monitoring and billing accuracy for consumers.

At the heart of this large-scale deployment is the Vi Business IoT Smart Central platform, designed to provide end-to-end visibility and control of connected smart meters.
