New Delhi: Uber Intercity has expanded its footprint to over 3,000 city-to-city routes, a 50% increase in availability across metros and Tier 2 cities.
To complement this expansion, Uber has also introduced a limited-period Intercity Motorhome experience for travelers in the Delhi-NCR region, offering a luxurious, comfort-first journey for long-distance getaways.
The Intercity product has grown rapidly alongside India’s expanding highway network, catering to rising demand for flexible, tech-enabled travel.

The enhanced coverage aims to serve a wide range of travel purposes, including weekend escapes, family visits, business trips, and pilgrimage journeys.
“People are choosing road travel for convenience, comfort, and flexibility,” said Shweta Mantri, Head of Rider Verticals at Uber India and South Asia. “With this expansion and the launch of Motorhomes, Uber Intercity is redefining outstation travel for millions across India.”
Top Routes and Travel Trends
Over the past year, the most popular Uber Intercity routes included:
- Mumbai – Pune
- Delhi – Agra
- Bengaluru – Mysuru
- Lucknow – Kanpur
- Ahmedabad – Vadodara
Riders frequently booked Intercity trips during long weekends and festivals such as Diwali, Holi, Eid, and the wedding season. Fridays were the most preferred departure days, with peak travel times either early morning or during lean traffic hours (2–3 PM).
While one-way trips continue to serve family visits, business meetings, and airport transfers, round trips are increasingly booked for leisure travel, events, and pilgrimages.
Introducing Uber Intercity Motorhomes
From August 7 to September 6, riders departing from Delhi-NCR will be able to book Uber Intercity Motorhomes – an exclusive campaign designed to showcase how technology can elevate long-distance travel. Bookings open via the Uber app on August 4, where a dedicated Intercity Motorhome icon will appear.
Each vehicle seats 4–5 passengers comfortably and comes with:
- Dedicated driver and assistant
