TVS Indus Design Honours Launched to Promote Design-Led Innovation in Indian Mobility

Bengaluru: In a bold step to elevate India’s design prowess on the global stage, TVS Motor Company has launched TVS Indus, a national platform aimed at nurturing visionary talent and advancing mobility solutions deeply rooted in Indian culture, creativity, and context.

Anchored in the philosophy of ‘Design in India’, the initiative supports the broader ‘Make in India’ vision by encouraging innovation that is original, inclusive, and globally resonant.

The newly announced TVS Indus Design Honours will be held annually and is open to Indian students, young professionals, and design enthusiasts from all educational backgrounds.

With the 2025 edition officially underway, participants are invited to submit entries for innovative mobility concepts – ranging from monowheel to two- and three-wheeler formats – that showcase relevance to the themes of Thar, Sahyadri, Kutch, and Mumbai.

The initiative’s name, ‘Indus’, is inspired by the ancient Indus Valley Civilization – one of the earliest cradles of design and technological advancement – signifying a blend of rich heritage and a progressive outlook. With TVS Indus, the company envisions igniting a global dialogue around Indian design and sustainable mobility.

“Design is the bridge between imagination and impact,” said Amit Rajwade, Vice President – Design at TVS Motor Company. “With TVS Indus Design Honours, we aim to create a platform that empowers the next generation of designers and creators to shape India’s mobility future in a way that is culturally grounded and forward-looking.”

TVS Indus 2025 Submissions

TVS Indus 2025 will assess entries on key parameters including originality, contextual relevance, user-centricity, and implementation feasibility. Submissions will be reviewed by a distinguished jury of leading design and mobility experts.

The top three winners will be awarded cash prizes up to ₹5 lakh, with additional recognition through a Viewers’ Choice Award and potential internship opportunities with the TVSM Design Team.

The registration and submission window is now open, and entries must be submitted individually by October 6, 2025. Participation is completely free and limited to Indian residents.
