Melbourne: Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT), a global leader in cold spray additive manufacturing, has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with DNV, one of the world’s foremost providers of assurance and risk management services.
The partnership aims to advance Titomic Kinetic Fusion toward certification for applications in the global maritime and oil & gas industries.
The collaboration is designed to facilitate Titomic’s compliance with the NORSOK M-501 standard, a highly respected benchmark for protective coatings in offshore installations.
Certification under this standard will unlock applications for Thermal Spray Aluminum (TSA) repairs, weld protection, and structural restoration in marine and offshore environments.
Additionally, Titomic will engage with classification societies such as Lloyd’s Register, ABS, and Bureau Veritas to broaden the scope of certifications across other critical use cases.
“This partnership is a transformative step for Titomic Limited,” said Klaas Rozema, President of Titomic EMEA.
“Achieving NORSOK M-501 and similar global certifications will allow us to deliver high-performance, corrosion-resistant solutions across ships, subsea infrastructure, ballast tanks, and pipelines—all while adhering to the highest international standards.”
Titomic Kinetic Fusion offers a unique non-thermal alternative to traditional welding and heat-based coating processes.
The portable, on-site cold spray process reduces downtime, enhances worker safety, and ensures operational continuity in remote and hazardous locations, such as oil rigs and subsea installations.
“Our agreement with DNV underscores Titomic’s commitment to sustainable and scalable repair technologies,” stated Jim Simpson, CEO and Managing Director of Titomic.
“With this certification roadmap, we can extend the operational lifespan of high-value industrial assets while reducing waste and maintenance costs.”
Titomic Limited Broader Roadmap
The collaboration is part of Titomic Limited’s broader strategic roadmap to deliver certified, cost-effective solutions for the repair, refurbishment, and protection of critical infrastructure.
The initiative solidifies Titomic’s role as a technological innovator in the global shipbuilding, offshore energy, and industrial asset management industries.
