Bengaluru: Tally Solutions has launched the Tally Startup Challenge 2025 under the theme “Capacity360 – Smarter Planning, Better Productivity”.

The initiative aims to identify and support innovative startups developing practical solutions for MSME manufacturers struggling with capacity planning, machine optimization, and productivity growth.

Tally Startup Challenge Focuses on MSME Productivity

The Tally Startup Challenge highlights the urgent need for affordable and adaptable tools that improve machine utilization, reduce downtime, and optimize production processes for Indian MSMEs.

The program seeks solutions that deliver:

  • Machine-level insights for tracking and utilization.
  • Dynamic scheduling aligned with variable demand.
  • Predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Real-time monitoring and analytics for proactive decision-making.
  • Easy-to-implement, scalable, and cost-effective deployment.

By addressing challenges like fluctuating demand, supply chain delays, and limited budgets, the challenge emphasizes creating market-specific innovations tailored for Indian MSMEs.

Eligibility and Sectors Covered

  • Startups applying for the Tally Startup Challenge must be registered with DPIIT.
  • Eligible participants may include startups at the ideation, validation, early traction, or scaling stages.

The challenge is open to a broad spectrum of industries such as AI, analytics, manufacturing, healthcare, green technology, retail, logistics, AR/VR, construction, food & beverages, and more.

Evaluation Process and Stages

The program will be conducted in two key stages:

  • Stage 1: Submission of a concept note, followed by shortlisting.
  • Stage 2: A 30-day window to develop and submit the final solution.

Applicants will be assessed on product innovation, industry relevance, usability for MSMEs, cost-effectiveness, adaptability, and scalability.

Incentives and Rewards

Winners of the Tally Startup Challenge will receive fiscal incentives, including:

  • Winner: ₹3 lakh cash prize
  • Runner-up: ₹2 lakh cash prize

Timeline

  • Application Window: August 4 – September 3, 2025
  • Shortlisting: 10 days post-application closure
  • Solution Development: 30 days
  • Evaluation and Results: November 15, 2025

The total program duration, including evaluation, is approximately 105 days.
