SSPU NDA MoU to Support Medically Boarded-Out Cadets

Pune: In a progressive step toward academic rehabilitation for aspiring defence personnel, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Defence Academy (NDA) to provide higher education opportunities for cadets who are medically boarded out during training. (SSPU NDA MoU)

The SSPU NDA MoU, announced by Dr Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of SSPU, offers these cadets a fresh opportunity to pursue career-focused degree programs such as B Tech in Defence Technology and BBA.

Eligible cadets will be granted direct admission, while bridge courses will be made available for those needing academic support.

The program is tailored to ensure that no cadet’s commitment and time go unrewarded due to medical or other unforeseen disqualifications.

The collaboration aims to maintain morale, support lifelong learning, and equip cadets with professional skills that enable them to transition smoothly into the civilian or defence-related private sector workforce.

The SSPU NDA MoU signing ceremony was graced by key dignitaries, including Prof Dr O P Shukla, Group Captain Ramani, Dr Pragya Bajpai, Squadron Leader Krishna, and Major Sumit Ojha.

This academic partnership reflects a long-term vision of empowering every cadet with purpose, regardless of medical setbacks, and marks a critical step in building a holistic support system for India’s young defence aspirants.
