Pune: Pooja Madhav Wavhal Wins INR 9.1 Lakh as Wakefit Sleep Champion of the Year

Pune: In a delightful twist on traditional internships, Pooja Madhav Wavhal, a Pune-based civil services aspirant, has won the title of India’s Sleep Champion of the Year and a cash prize of ₹9.1 lakh in the Wakefit Sleep Internship Season 4, hosted by Wakefit Innovations Limited, a leading D2C home and furnishings brand.

Pooja Madhav Wavhal emerged as the top performer among 15 selected sleep interns, who were shortlisted from over 1 lakh applications received across the country.

Over a 60-day period, these interns slept for 9 hours each night using Wakefit mattresses and the Track8 contactless sleep tracker, while participating in unique sleep challenges to improve their rest quality.

The three-part grand finale featured unconventional contests like blindfold bed-making, alarm clock hunts, and a sleep-off challenge – all captured in a special video series hosted by comedian Md Anas.

Pooja Madhav Wavhal’s final score of 91.36 earned her the top spot, along with the highest cash prize ever awarded in the internship.

While all interns received ₹1 lakh each, Pooja’s win has spotlighted the growing cultural impact of Wakefit’s initiative.

The Wakefit Sleep Internship, launched in 2019, has become a viral phenomenon promoting the importance of quality sleep. With over 10 lakh applications and 65 interns supported over four seasons, it is one of India’s most iconic brand-led campaigns for sleep wellness.
