Pune: The Military-Civil Fusion Training Capsule 2025, jointly conducted by the Indian Army and the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), concluded today after a week-long programme aimed at strengthening coordination between the Armed Forces and the Civil Administration.
Held under the aegis of Southern Command at the Military–Civil Fusion Training Node in Aundh, Pune, the initiative is part of a series of efforts to enhance national preparedness and collaborative governance.
Military-Civil Fusion Training Capsule 2025: Strengthening Military–Civil Synergy
A total of 144 Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) probationers, including 108 male and 36 female officers, participated in the Military-Civil Fusion Training Capsule 2025.
The training offered an immersive platform for future administrators to interact with Army personnel, fostering institutional trust, mutual understanding, and a unified commitment to national service. The active participation of women officers further reflected India’s advancing inclusivity within governance and defence structures.

Military-Civil Fusion Training Capsule 2025: Hands-On Exposure to Military Operations
During the programme, participants engaged in a wide array of military activities such as visits to quarter guards, familiarisation with battalion routines, physical training sessions, sports activities, small arms firing, and demonstrations on drone operations.
A visit to the Southern Command War Memorial allowed trainees to pay tribute to the sacrifices and valour of soldiers. Sessions on modernisation, emerging technologies aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat, and evolving operational concepts offered deep insights into the Army’s role in addressing contemporary security challenges.
Military-Civil Fusion Training Capsule 2025: Expert Lectures and Collaborative Learning
The training was enriched by lectures from experts including Sachin Kalantre, IAS, Deputy Director General, YASHADA, and Mrunalini Sawant, Coordinator, YASHADA.
Their sessions focused on disaster management, inter-agency coordination, and the significance of synergy during crises. Probationers also shared case studies and best practices on effective civil–military collaboration.

The successful completion of the Military-Civil Fusion Training Capsule 2025 marks another significant milestone in Southern Command’s efforts to build stronger institutional cooperation.
Additional training capsules are planned in the coming months to further advance integrated governance frameworks. Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, expressed satisfaction at the continuous progress being made towards enhancing Military–Civil Fusion for nation-building.
