Microsoft and Capgemini Launch Integrated Sovereign Cloud Services for Regulated Industries

Paris: Capgemini has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Microsoft to deliver integrated Sovereign Cloud solutions designed to enable resilient, compliant, and trusted digital transformation for organizations worldwide.

The collaboration aims to provide a comprehensive managed cloud service model that embeds sovereignty, compliance, and business continuity into every stage of digital and business transformation.

Through the partnership, Capgemini plans to deliver end-to-end sovereign solutions that help clients accelerate adoption of Microsoft’s Sovereign Cloud portfolio and AI technologies.

Combining Capgemini’s industry expertise with Microsoft’s sovereign cloud capabilities, the collaboration is intended to provide leaders with clear implementation options, expert guidance, and secure innovation pathways.

Advancing Digital Transformation with Sovereign Cloud

As part of the collaboration, Capgemini will support organizations in defining and operationalizing digital sovereignty strategies through structured assessments to identify sovereignty objectives, evaluate risk exposure, and deliver actionable recommendations tailored to business needs.

The partnership also introduces resiliency scenarios designed to help organizations sustain operations and meet regulatory requirements during disruptions.

Clients will be able to balance sovereignty and innovation by selecting suitable Microsoft cloud solutions and operating across sovereign public, sovereign private, and national partner clouds.

Established resiliency plans will support business continuity amid regulatory, geopolitical, or operational changes.

    • Resiliency planning enabling organizations to maintain business continuity during cyber incidents, geopolitical disruptions, or regulatory changes through multi-cloud workload execution.
  • Automated Protection of Data
    • AI-powered cybersecurity and encryption capabilities including identity and access controls, real-time threat detection, and industry-specific security accelerators for sovereign environments.

Long-Standing Partnership

Capgemini and Microsoft have collaborated for more than two decades, supporting organizations across industries in their cloud transformation journeys.

In 2024, Capgemini and Orange launched Bleu, a trusted cloud platform in France built using Microsoft cloud technologies to serve the French State, public agencies, hospitals, regional authorities, Vital Importance Operators (OIVs), and Essential Service Operators (OSEs).
