Pune: The Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF) commemorated a remarkable milestone on August 16, 2025, by combining four significant celebrations into one grand event.
The occasion marked India’s 79th Independence Day, the Foundation’s 30-year journey of impact, the release of the 65th edition of its newsletter Inspira, and a large-scale blood donation drive.
The celebrations were hosted at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Rabindranath Tagore School of Excellence, Baner, Pune, in collaboration with Axis Bank (PB Branch), Pune, and Bharati Vidyapeeth Hospital, Pune.

Lila Poonawalla Foundation Marks 30-Year Journey with Inspira Release
The highlight of the event was the presence of Padma Shri Lila Poonawalla, Chairperson of LPF, who was joined by Founder Trustee Firoz Poonawalla. The gathering also featured Guest of Honors:

- Dr Bhagyashree, Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune

Lila Poonawalla Foundation Blood Donation Drive Sees Over 100 Donors
The blood donation initiative received an overwhelming response, with more than 100 donors participating.
The drive symbolized compassion, service, and unity, aligning with LPF’s mission to contribute meaningfully to society beyond its primary focus on girls’ education.
Speaking at the event, Founder Trustee Firoz Poonawalla emphasized, “Today is about celebrating our nation’s Independence and contributing meaningfully to society. Every drop of blood donated is a gift of life and a beacon of hope for someone in need.”
