Jacobs to Oversee USD 18 Billion Industrial Corridor Projects Across 10 Indian States

Dallas: Jacobs (NYSE: J), a global leader in infrastructure solutions and program management, has been appointed as Knowledge Partner by the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (NICDC) to oversee the planning and execution of 12 industrial corridors across India.

This landmark partnership is part of the National Industrial Corridor Development Program, which aims to transform India’s manufacturing and infrastructure ecosystem with smart, sustainable, and future-ready industrial cities.

Under a three-year contract, Jacobs will provide comprehensive program management services, including master planning, design review, budgeting, performance monitoring, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

The scope covers greenfield industrial smart cities spread across 10 states and six major industrial corridors, promoting long-term economic resilience and sustainable urbanization.

The new industrial smart cities will feature pre-built infrastructure, ICT-enabled utilities, and walk-to-work urban planning – designed to attract investment, boost global competitiveness, and minimize environmental impact.

With a strong emphasis on sustainable infrastructure and integrated development, the project is projected to draw $18 billion in investment and create over 1 million direct and up to 3 million indirect jobs, according to NICDC.

Jacobs, ranked No. 1 in Program Management globally by Engineering News-Record, brings decades of experience in delivering large-scale projects, including India’s Aurangabad Industrial City and Smart City Masterplans for greenfield developments in southern India.
