By leveraging technology, it will build a more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly tolling ecosystem, paving the way for nationwide adoption.”

The Multi-Lane Free Flow Tolling System will rely on advanced RFID readers and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras to read FASTags and vehicle registration numbers.

Vehicles will be able to move through toll plazas without halting, which will reduce congestion, improve travel efficiency, and lower emissions.

Enhancing Efficiency and Toll Revenue Collection

Beyond improving commuter convenience, the adoption of the Multi-Lane Free Flow Tolling System will also strengthen toll revenue collection by minimizing leakages, while supporting India’s vision for a smarter and more sustainable national highway network.
