M-UTS Facility at Pune Railway Station to Cut Queue Time

Pune: To address the issue of long queues at ticket counters during peak seasons, Pune Railway Division is set to introduce the M-UTS service for the first time at Pune railway station. With this facility, passengers will be able to obtain a general ticket in just 10–12 seconds, ensuring faster and more efficient ticketing.

The M-UTS (Mobile Unreserved Ticketing System) machines will be operated by ticket inspectors and booking clerks, enabling quick issuance of printed tickets.

Unlike traditional methods, passengers will not be required to stand in queues or use mobile applications. By simply informing the staff of their destination, travelers can receive a printed general ticket instantly through the portable printer connected to the M-UTS machine.
