Pune: Symbiosis International (Deemed University), in collaboration with global healthcare technology leader Medtronic, has inaugurated the Symbiosis Medtronic Experience Centre – The TechKnow Verse – at the Symbiosis Centre for Health Skills (SCHS).

The new facility is positioned as a landmark initiative to elevate medical education, advanced clinical training, and healthcare practice in India.

The Symbiosis Medtronic Experience Centre is the country’s first-of-its-kind integrated training ecosystem combining advanced surgical simulation with cadaver-based learning.

The Centre houses cutting-edge cranial, spinal, and orthopedic technologies, including robotic-assisted systems, surgical navigation platforms, and 3D imaging solutions. These capabilities reinforce Symbiosis’ commitment to experiential learning and expanding academic–industry partnerships.

Symbiosis Medtronic Experience Centre to Strengthen Skill Development

Built as a continual learning hub, the Centre aims to equip neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, spine specialists, and ENT surgeons with hands-on exposure to real-world clinical scenarios.

Through structured experiential training, clinicians can refine surgical techniques and enhance their ability to deliver improved patient care.

Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), described the establishment of the Centre as an important milestone toward enhancing academic excellence and global competitiveness.

Mandeep Singh Kumar, Managing Director & Vice President, Medtronic India, emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared mission to strengthen healthcare education. He noted that Medtronic remains focused on advancing technology that alleviates pain, restores health, and improves patient outcomes.

Dr Rajiv Yeravdekar, Provost of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, added that the collaboration will reinforce clinical fundamentals and contribute significantly to improved healthcare quality.
