HDFC Life AUM Crosses ₹4 Lakh Crore Milestone, Doubles in Four Years

Mumbai: HDFC Life AUM has crossed the ₹4 lakh crore milestone, marking a significant achievement for the life insurer and reflecting its disciplined fund management philosophy focused on helping policyholders achieve their long-term financial goals.

Mumbai-based HDFC Life announced that its HDFC Life AUM recently surpassed ₹4 lakh crore. The company said the milestone underscores its commitment to enabling customers meet their financial goals through a prudent and disciplined approach to fund management.

Over the last 25 years, HDFC Life has built customer trust by offering innovative and simple products designed to fulfil long-term financial goals.

The company said it continues to enhance customer experience through technology-enabled services, relevant customer touchpoints, and consistent delivery across key business metrics.

The HDFC Life AUM milestone is considered an important indicator of an insurer’s scale, financial strength, investment management capabilities, and long-term customer loyalty.

The company said its steady AUM growth has been supported by a diversified portfolio of products spanning protection, savings, and investment solutions designed to address the evolving financial needs of individuals across different stages of life.

HDFC Life stated that its current debt-equity ratio stands at 72:28. A substantial portion of its debt investments is allocated to Government bonds and AAA-rated securities, reflecting its emphasis on capital preservation and risk-adjusted returns.

Alongside the growth in HDFC Life AUM, the company said it maintained a high claim-settlement ratio of 99.7% in FY26 for individual death claims, highlighting its continued focus on customer centricity and operational excellence.

Established in 2000, HDFC Life is a listed, long-term life insurance solutions provider in India. The company offers individual and group insurance solutions across protection, pension, savings, investment, annuity, and health segments.

HDFC Life’s portfolio includes more than 75 products (individual and group products) along with optional riders. The company said it has expanded its presence across India through branches and additional distribution touchpoints created through new tie-ups and partnerships.

The insurer currently has over 500 distribution partnerships, including banks, NBFCs, MFIs, SFBs, brokers, and ecosystem partners, supported by a strong base of financial consultants.
