Pune: Google has announced the launch of its latest Google for Startups Accelerator program for India, specifically inviting applications from Android app-based startups. The three-month, equity-free accelerator is designed to help Indian startups scale their products through advanced technical support, strategic mentorship, and direct access to Google’s network of experts.
An evolution of the former Appscale Academy, the Google for Startups Accelerator is powered by Google Play and supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Startup Hub. The hybrid-format program is targeted at startups between Seed to Series A stages, offering a mix of in-person and virtual sessions.
AI Era Demands a Founder’s Mindset from Everyone
Each cohort of Google for Startups Accelerator will consist of 20 selected startups, which will participate in structured sprint projects, group learning sessions, and one-on-one mentorship. The program aims to address each startup’s top technical challenges through dedicated support from Google engineers and industry specialists.
The curriculum will include deep dives into product design, customer acquisition strategies, leadership development, and technical growth planning. Selected startups will also be eligible for up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits, training from Google experts, and access to industry events and early-stage Google products.
Scaling Up Startups: TiE Pune to Hold Interactive Peer Learning Event
In addition, participants will receive 30 days of complimentary access to Cloud TPU via the TPU Research Cloud program, enabling them to accelerate open-source machine learning research.

Google for Startups Accelerator Program Eligibility
To be eligible for Google for Startups Accelerator program, startups must be Android app-based and ideally between Seed and Series A funding stages. Applicants should demonstrate a scalable product with a large addressable market, leverage advanced technologies such as AI or machine learning, and commit active participation from technical leadership, including the CEO and CTO.
Google encourages applications from all qualified startups to build a diverse and innovative accelerator class.
