Global School of Aviation

Pune: The Global School of Aviation, the training vertical of Global Flight Handling Services, inaugurated its new aviation training facility at Aero Mall, strategically located opposite Pune International Airport.

The centre was unveiled by Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Government of India, marking a major milestone in India’s aviation skilling ecosystem.

This state-of-the-art facility will offer diploma, certification, and degree programs in Airport Ground Handling, Cabin Crew Training, and Airport Operations and Management, in collaboration with AMET University.

It is designed to deliver both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, with plans underway to include internationally accredited certifications and a fully functional mock aircraft cabin for immersive training.

“In line with the Government of India’s vision of building a global aviation hub, this centre will empower local youth with employable skills and real-world experience,” said Minister Mohol.

“Pune has immense talent and growing connectivity, making it an ideal base for aviation skill development.”

Sarita Kumari, Managing Director of Global Flight Handling Services, emphasized the organisation’s commitment to regional employment and professional growth.

“We are proud to invest in Pune, where 95 per cent of our 400+ airport workforce is locally hired. This training facility is a natural extension of our commitment to excellence in aviation services and skilling.”

Located within India’s first airport mall complex, the Aero Mall training centre provides students with close proximity to real-time airport operations and the opportunity to engage with aviation professionals.

Global Flight Handling Services currently operates across 23 Indian airports, including Pune, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, and Sindhudurg in Maharashtra.

The new Pune centre is the second under the Global School of Aviation brand, following the successful launch in Chennai in 2024. Additional centres in Kochi, Ahmedabad, and Visakhapatnam are set to launch soon.

Pune Airport, which handled over 10.54 million passengers in FY 2024–25, is undergoing rapid expansion, driving demand for skilled professionals across ground and cabin roles.

Global School of Aviation: Premier Gateway for Careers

With smart classrooms, multimedia training halls, career counselling services, and hands-on learning modules, the Global School of Aviation aims to be a premier gateway for careers in India’s rapidly growing aviation sector.

“This centre isn’t just about training; it’s about unlocking potential and opening doors to aviation careers for India’s youth,” added Sarita Kumari.
