FDP on Generative AI: GHRCEM Pune Secures INR 3.5 Lakh AICTE Grant

Pune: G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Pune has been awarded a ₹3.5 lakh grant by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under its ATAL Academy scheme to fund a Faculty Development Program – FDP on Generative AI.

The FDP will be focused on “Generative AI and Human Augmentation: The Future of Work”, to be held on-campus from June 15 to 20, 2025.

The AICTE-backed FDP on Generative AI will offer faculty members, researchers, and professionals in engineering and technology an intensive learning experience in cutting-edge AI applications, with sessions covering:

  • Generative AI tools
  • Human-machine collaboration
  • Ethical implications of AI
  • Emerging workforce trends

“This grant validates GHRCEM’s continued commitment to faculty empowerment and future-ready education,” said Dr R D Kharadkar, Campus Director, GHRCEM. “Our aim is to equip educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to keep pace with AI-led transformations in the industry and academia.”

The program is organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML). Dr Rachna Sable, Head of the Department, highlighted the program’s focus on bridging theory and real-world AI applications, while Prof Bhagyashri Wankar served as FDP Co-Coordinator.
