Dare To Thrive: AXA to Empower 10,000 Girls in STEM Education by 2030

Bengaluru: Global insurance and financial services leader AXA has announced its commitment to support the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education of nearly 10,000 underprivileged girls in India by 2030 through its flagship initiative, Dare To Thrive.

The program underscores AXA’s long-term vision to promote inclusion, education, and digital empowerment.

As part of Dare To Thrive, AXA Global Business Services will collaborate with ecosystem partners and NGOs to identify and train girl students keen on pursuing STEM education.

The initiative includes scholarship grants, the establishment of computer labs, and the distribution of desktop computers to enhance digital learning.

To mark 40 years of the AXA Group, the company has partnered with Pune-based NGO Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL) to support the education of 40 girls in Bengaluru and Pune, strengthening its commitment to gender-inclusive education and digital literacy.

Over the past few years, AXA Global Business Services has facilitated the technology education of 2,500 girls through industry collaborations and philanthropic programs. This milestone further extends its ongoing mission to create equitable learning and employment opportunities for young women.

‘Dare To Thrive’ Launch Celebrates 40 Years of AXA Group

The Dare To Thrive initiative was officially launched at AXA Global Business Services’ Bengaluru office by Alexander Vollert, Group Chief Operating Officer and CEO of AXA Group Operations, Marc Lamy, Consul General of France in Bengaluru, and Michele Rochefort, CEO of AXA Global Business Services.

“At AXA, inclusion drives our core actions. Through education and community engagement, we ensure that protection is not a privilege but a right for all,” said Alexander Vollert.

“Our goal to support the STEM education of 10,000 girls from underprivileged backgrounds reflects our purpose to protect what matters and contribute to a more inclusive world.”
