CNH Pune Plant Showcases Made-In-India Mechanisation Solutions for Farmers

Pune: The CNH Pune plant is reinforcing India’s agricultural mechanisation journey by designing and manufacturing advanced crop-solution machinery tailored for Indian farming conditions.

CNH, a global leader in agriculture and construction equipment, recently showcased its Made-in-Pune mechanisation products at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pune, highlighting its R&D, engineering, and production capabilities for domestic and global markets.

The CNH Pune plant, spread across 280,000 square metres, manufactures combine harvesters, sugarcane harvesters, small square balers, tractors, headers, cabs, and implements.

The facility is equipped with advanced fabrication systems, automated paint systems, structured assembly lines, and rigorous testing protocols.

The plant supports mechanisation across multiple crops in India while exporting part of its production overseas.

Market Leadership in Harvesting Solutions

In 2023, CNH introduced India’s first TREM-V emission stage compliant sugarcane harvester from the Pune facility.

The company currently holds:

  • Over 50% market share in sugarcane harvesters
  • Over 50% market share in small square balers
  • Market leadership in the cab combine harvester segment

The facility produces India’s best-selling sugarcane harvesters, cab combines, and balers, supporting mechanisation in crop solutions.

Building Agricultural Capabilities Beyond Machinery

CNH is also working on skill development and agricultural education initiatives in Maharashtra through:

Mechanisation Opportunity in Indian agriculture
