Pune: The Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum (CEF) has created history by securing a Guinness World Record for organizing the world’s largest box cricket tournament, reinforcing the growing influence of the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum in building entrepreneurial communities through large-scale engagement initiatives.
The record-setting event took place in Pune, marking a global milestone for SME-driven sporting events and community participation led by the CEF.
Recognized by Guinness World Records, the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum established a new world record category, as no prior global benchmark existed for box cricket tournaments.
The initiative began with the launch of the Chrysalis SME League on February 3, 2026, in Bavdhan, Pune, setting the foundation for the historic achievement by the CEF.
Over a span of 13 days, the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum brought together 66 teams comprising 726 employees from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The tournament featured 135 matches and participation from more than 75 organisations across 30+ industries, including businesses from Pune, Mumbai, and nearby regions. By focusing exclusively on SMEs, the CEF celebrated the workforce that drives India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The official Guinness World Record certificate was presented by Pravin Patel, Senior Official Adjudicator at Guinness World Records and a retired engineer from the Royal British Air Force, after detailed verification of the tournament.
The certificate was received by Manish Gupta, Chairman of the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum, along with Rachna Gupta, Founder, and Vidisha Kukreja, Vice President at Chrysalis Business Solutions Pvt Ltd — marking a proud moment for the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum and its community.
Addressing the gathering, Pravin Patel said, “The forum has shown great discipline and enthusiasm in conducting a tournament of this scale. The minimum requirement for this world record is 500 participants, and the forum has successfully achieved it with 726.
Guinness World Records exists to felicitate outstanding human effort, and this tournament is a true showcase of that, mobilising more than 75 organisations, 726 participants, and 135 matches played over 13 days from morning till late night. Indeed, a herculean task undertaken by the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum.”
The primary objective of the initiative was to celebrate employees and strengthen organisational culture through sports. The Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum used the Chrysalis SME League as a platform to foster unity, team spirit, and collaboration beyond the workplace, reiterating its motto: “It’s Great to Be an Entrepreneur.”
This achievement represents the third record milestone for the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum. The forum was previously recognized by the Limca Book of Records for a Skydiving record in 2014 and also holds a Guinness World Record in Scuba Diving.
The Chrysalis SME League now stands as the first land-based Guinness World Record achieved by the Chrysalis Entrepreneur Forum, reflecting its continued focus on community-driven initiatives.
