Amara Raja Energy and Mobility Achieves INR 1299 Cr PBT in FY25

Amara Raja Energy and Mobility

Hyderabad/Tirupati: Amara Raja Energy and Mobility Limited (ARE&M), a leading diversified energy and mobility solutions provider, has posted a 10.2% year-on-year increase in revenue, touching ₹12,405 crore for FY2024-25, up from ₹11,260 crore in the previous financial year.

The company’s profit before tax (PBT) for FY25 stood at ₹1,299 crore, with an earnings per share (EPS) of ₹52.66.

For Q4 FY25, Amara Raja Energy and Mobility reported a revenue of ₹2,974 crore and a PBT of ₹224 crore. The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹5.20 per share, further reinforcing shareholder confidence in the company’s long-term growth.

Strong Growth Amid Cost Pressures

The growth was driven by robust performance across automotive batteries, UPS applications, and allied businesses like lubricants. However, margins were impacted due to rising alloy prices and regulatory changes affecting solar power settlements and energy surcharges.

“FY25 marked another year of consistent growth across our product categories. The strong volumes in the automotive sector and UPS applications helped offset headwinds in the telecom segment,” said Harshavardhana Gourineni, Executive Director – Automotive and Industrial. “We also launched several operational efficiency initiatives that are already strengthening our market position.”

Momentum in New Energy Business

The company’s New Energy division continues to advance with key infrastructure projects. “Construction of Giga Factory-1 in Telangana has commenced, and the Customer Qualification Plant (CQP) and R&D facilities are close to completion,” said Vikramadithya Gourineni, Executive Director – New Energy Business. “We’re leveraging real-world data from our battery packs and EV chargers to refine customer-focused energy solutions.”

Future Outlook

Chairman and Managing Director Jayadev Galla added, “Amara Raja’s sustained growth reflects our multi-pronged strategy. As our Lead-Acid Battery business remains strong, our New Energy initiatives are progressing well. With the CQP and R&D centres set to go live soon, we are well-positioned to lead India’s energy transition amid a complex global macroeconomic environment.”
