Mumbai: In a significant step toward digital inclusion, Capgemini, in partnership with the Nasscom Foundation, has successfully trained and certified over 700 underserved youths in AI skills through its AI for Skilling initiative.
Focused on bridging the digital divide, this program is part of Capgemini’s broader Digital Academy efforts to build a future-ready, inclusive workforce.
Implemented across Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, the initiative provided a comprehensive 200-hour curriculum, blending over 140 hours of technical training with 60+ hours of soft skills development.
Participants were equipped with hands-on knowledge in areas such as generative AI, robotics, and fintech, alongside modules on communication, workplace readiness, and professional development.

AI Skills Program
The program also featured expert-led sessions, corporate volunteer mentorship, industry visits, and aptitude-building workshops to offer real-world exposure and insight into the professional expectations of the technology sector.

With the successful completion of its first cohort, the next phase of the initiative is set to expand into advanced AI and DeepTech domains, aligning with India’s evolving digital economy and the rising demand for a highly skilled tech workforce.
By focusing on both technical expertise and soft skills, Capgemini and the Nasscom Foundation are laying the groundwork for long-term, sustainable employment for India’s underserved communities—ensuring AI skills are accessible, inclusive, and impactful.
