Smartphones continued to anchor consumer upgrades in 2025. While overall smartphone sales recorded strong year-on-year growth, purchasing behaviour reflected a marked premium tilt.

One in three smartphones sold fell in the ₹20,000–30,000 segment, while nearly one in five purchases were in the flagship or super-flagship category.

Notably, price bands such as ₹50,000–58,000 witnessed growth of over 300%, underscoring aspirational trade-ups driven by content creation, gaming, and AI- and camera-first usage.

Gaming laptops recorded over 25% growth in high-performance professional models, while ultra-thin laptops in the non-gaming segment doubled in sales, reflecting demand for portability without compromising performance.
