New Delhi: Searches for solar panel dealers across India have surged dramatically, reflecting the country’s accelerating adoption of clean energy solutions.
According to Justdial, consumer queries for solar panel dealers increased 173% year-on-year (YoY) and 77% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) during April–June 2025 (AMJ).
Bhubaneswar, Patna, Delhi, and Indore Drive Growth in Searches for Solar Panel Dealers
Delhi and Patna emerged as the strongest markets, recording an 11x YoY surge in searches for solar panel dealers. Patna alone witnessed a staggering 19x QoQ growth, while Indore recorded 197% YoY growth and a 3x QoQ surge.

Chennai and Hyderabad also displayed significant momentum, with searches rising 5x YoY, and Hyderabad further showing 130% QoQ growth. Other high-growth markets included Jaipur (+109% QoQ), Pune (+133% YoY), Mumbai (+55% YoY), Ahmedabad (+54% YoY), and Lucknow (+37% YoY).
Searches for Solar Panel Cleaning Services Double Across India
Alongside installations, Indian consumers are increasingly focusing on efficiency and long-term upkeep. Searches for solar panel cleaning services doubled YoY, led by Delhi (+92%), Lucknow (+77%), Ahmedabad (+63%), and Vadodara (+43%).
This highlights a growing awareness of maintenance as a critical factor in solar energy adoption.

India Crosses 100 GW Solar PV Manufacturing Milestone
The rising interest coincides with India crossing the 100 GW domestic solar PV manufacturing milestone in 2025, compared to just 2.3 GW in 2014. This expansion, supported by government policies like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, underscores India’s position as a global leader in solar energy.
These behavioral shifts reflect the nation’s broader renewable energy transition. The celebration of Akshay Urja Diwas further marked India’s achievement in clean energy, reinforcing the momentum towards sustainable growth.
