Air India Express Launches New Flights from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun

Pune: Air India Express is expanding its footprint by adding three new cities – Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun – to its growing network.

With these additions, effective September 2025, the airline will serve 41 domestic and 17 international destinations, cementing its position as India’s fastest-growing carrier with a fleet of 116 aircraft.

From September 1, 2025, the airline will operate twice-daily flights on the Ahmedabad–Bengaluru and Chandigarh–Bengaluru routes. From September 15, 2025, daily flights will connect Dehradun and Bengaluru.

Introductory one-way fares start from ₹4,100 and are available via the award-winning airindiaexpress.com website and other booking channels.

Air India Express: Flight Schedule Highlights
  • Ahmedabad–Bengaluru: Twice daily from September 1; second daily flight starts September 16
  • Chandigarh–Bengaluru: Twice daily from September 1
  • Dehradun–Bengaluru: Daily from September 15

Managing Director Aloke Singh said, “With our fleet now exceeding 115 aircraft, we are building a robust network connecting metros and emerging cities. These new destinations are part of our broader strategy to unlock opportunities in high-potential markets while delivering value, comfort, and a warm, reliable flying experience.”

The new routes offer business and leisure travellers direct access to Ahmedabad’s cultural heritage, Chandigarh’s modern architecture and proximity to the hills, and Dehradun’s scenic charm and gateway to Uttarakhand’s spiritual and Himalayan attractions.

In addition to flights, customers can book curated travel packages via the airline’s Xpress Holidays platform, including hotels, transport, and activities. Air India Express also continues its Tales of India initiative, featuring aircraft liveries inspired by regional art forms such as Gujarat’s Bandhani, Punjab’s Phulkari, and Uttarakhand’s sacred Aipan.

From Bengaluru, Air India Express operates over 405 weekly flights to 34 domestic and three international destinations, along with one-stop connections to multiple cities in India and 14 global hubs, including Dubai, Singapore, Doha, and Bangkok.
