MSE TEAM Programme to Support 5 Lakh Micro and Small Enterprises via ONDC

New Delhi: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has launched the MSE TEAM (Trade Enablement and Marketing) initiative, a sub-scheme under the World Bank-supported Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme.

The scheme is designed to strengthen the digital capabilities of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) by integrating them with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), enabling businesses to expand market reach and boost income.

Through MSE TEAM, participating enterprises will receive end-to-end assistance, including onboarding support, digital cataloguing, account management, transport and logistics coordination, and packaging guidance. The initiative also includes structured training and capacity-building programmes.

Key Digital and Marketing Platforms Supporting MSE TEAM
  • eKhadi India Portal: Managed by the Ministry of MSME, this e-commerce platform exclusively features Khadi and Village Industries products, such as apparel, groceries, cosmetics, home décor, health and wellness items, essentials, and gifts. It empowers artisans, weavers, and micro enterprises to sell directly to customers and is integrated with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). All products carry the authentic Khadi Trademark.
  • MSME Global Mart: Operated by the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), this B2B online marketplace connects MSMEs with domestic and international buyers. It offers marketing support, enhanced visibility, trade lead access, and tender information to strengthen global competitiveness.
  • Procurement and Marketing Support (PMS) Scheme: Designed to increase MSME market access, PMS facilitates participation in trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meets. It also provides financial support for micro enterprises to join MSME Global Mart, covering membership fees, subscription charges, and cataloguing costs.

Government e-Marketplace (GeM) serves as a unified public procurement platform that enhances transparency, efficiency, and speed in government purchases, offering features like e-bidding and reverse auctions.

The MSE TEAM initiative targets 5 lakh MSEs, with 50% of beneficiaries being women-owned enterprises. Outreach programmes will focus on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to ensure broad-based participation.
