Laxmi Dental Q2 FY27: Key Financial Highlights

The company reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue and EBITDA, supported by growth in its core dental products portfolio.

Gross margins for the Dental Laboratory and Aligner Solutions businesses remained stable at healthy levels. Overall gross margins improved to 76.9%, supported by a change in the product mix.

The EBITDA margin registered year-on-year growth and remained stable sequentially. According to the company, the performance was broad-based across all business segments.

Key financial figures for Q2FY27 include:

    • Revenue: ₹795.2 million (₹79.52 crore), highest-ever quarterly revenue.
    • EBITDA: ₹152.7 million, up 38.5% YoY.
    • EBITDA Margin: 19.2%, compared with 15.3% in Q2FY26.
    • Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹100.4 million, up 17.6% YoY.
    • PAT in Q2FY26: ₹85.3 million.
    • PAT Margin: 12.6%.
    • Overall Gross Margin: 76.9%.

Rajesh Khakhar, Chairperson and Whole-time Director, said: “We are delighted to report another strong quarter, building on the positive start we made to FY27. Q2FY27 reported a highest ever quarterly revenue of INR 79.5 crore. Growth was broad-based across our Dental Laboratory and Aligner Solutions businesses.

EBITDA and PAT margins stood at 19.2% and 12.6%, respectively. Profitability remained healthy, supported by code dental product mix and continued operating discipline. This performance reflects our innovative strategies tailored to each region and business, alongside our continued focus on digitalisation and brand building.

“During the quarter, our shareholders approved changes in the IPO use of proceeds, allowing INR 48.1 crore of unutilised proceeds to be redeployed, including INR 26.9 crore towards land and building for a company-owned, integrated dental laboratory and aligner facility.

This is expected to enhance efficiency, strengthen cost control and support scalability. The transition will be in a phased manner to ensure service continuity without any material impact.

“Looking at the bigger picture, India’s dental industry is at an early stage of a structural shift. A highly fragmented lab market is gradually organising, dentists are adopting digital workflows, and patients are increasingly choosing quality, aesthetics and trusted brands.

Globally too, demand for customised restorations has been rising, and dentists are increasingly turning to companies like Laxmi Dental that deliver superior quality and faster turnaround time at a competitive cost.

“Over more than three decades, Laxmi Dental has built the trust, quality systems, brands and infrastructure needed to lead this transition. We believe the decade ahead holds great promise for dentistry in India and globally. We continue to build our capabilities to capture this opportunity responsibly and sustainably.”

Laxmi Dental Laboratory Business Grows 22.7% in Q2FY27

Sameer Merchant, Managing Director and CEO, said that Laxmi Dental delivered strong growth across its business segments during Q2FY27.

The Dental Laboratory business registered 22.7% year-on-year growth during the quarter. International operations recorded growth of 32%, while domestic operations grew by 15%.

The Laxmi Dental Q2 FY27 performance also reflected continued momentum in its Aligner Solutions business, which registered 23.5% year-on-year growth.

The company’s two brands, Bizdent and Vedia, contributed to this growth, recording year-on-year growth of 27.7% and 19.1%, respectively.

Meanwhile, its paediatric dental business, Kids-e-Dental, continued to scale up, reporting 16.7% year-on-year growth.

However, scanner sales remained muted during the quarter due to inflated prices of high-end laptops. The company said it continues to evaluate its scanner roadmap in line with the overall market situation.

Laxmi Dental Focuses on AI-Led Automation and Digitalisation

Sameer Merchant said its performance reflected long-standing relationships with dental partners in India and overseas, supported by consistent execution across sales and operations teams.

Laxmi Dental continues to invest in AI-led automation to make its operations faster, more consistent and efficient as the business expands.

In the domestic market, the company remains focused on increasing its wallet share among existing dentists and onboarding new dental partners through its hub-and-spoke strategy and digitalisation initiatives.

The company intends to strengthen its presence in the Indian dental market by expanding its network of dental partners and improving engagement with existing customers.

Laxmi Dental Plans Global Expansion Through US Leadership and IDS Participation

On the international front, Laxmi Dental is focusing on strengthening its global presence through improved on-ground leadership in the United States.

Its participation in the upcoming International Dental Show (IDS) is also expected to support its international expansion plans.

Additionally, the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, concluded earlier this year, is expected to provide further support to the company’s global expansion strategy.

According to the management, strengthened international leadership, participation in global industry events and trade developments are among the factors expected to support its overseas business.

Concluding his remarks on the Laxmi Dental Q2 FY27 performance, Mr. Sameer Merchant said:

“With continued progress in digitalisation, innovation, branding and network expansion, we remain well positioned to deliver sustainable and profitable growth in the years ahead.”
