Pune: VTP Realty celebrated Raksha Bandhan with more than 350 employees as part of its continued efforts to foster a culture of belonging, camaraderie and meaningful relationships within the workplace.

In its second year, the initiative was organised particularly for employees who may not have siblings with whom to celebrate the festival, providing colleagues with an opportunity to come together and build bonds that extend beyond the office.

The Raksha Bandhan celebration at VTP Realty was designed to ensure that employees without siblings could experience the warmth and spirit of the festival with their workplace family.

The initiative brought together identified employees and created a warm, personal environment where women employees tied rakhis to their male colleagues, while everyone came together to experience the spirit of care, respect and togetherness associated with Raksha Bandhan.

The celebration was graced by Chairman of VTP Group, Vilaskumar Thanmal Palresha, along with the company’s senior leadership and HR team.

The presence of the leadership team added to the significance of the initiative, which focused on creating meaningful connections among employees.

Speaking on the occasion, Harsha Palande, Group Head of HR, VTP Group, said: “Raksha Bandhan is about the warmth of having someone to celebrate with, and sometimes, it is the people around us who make that feeling possible.

We wanted our colleagues who do not have siblings to experience that warmth here at work. Seeing them celebrate Raksha Bandhan made this initiative very special for all of us.”

For several employees, the VTP Realty Raksha Bandhan celebration carried a deeper emotional significance, particularly for those who had never had the opportunity to experience the festival with a sibling.

What may have appeared to be a simple workplace gesture became an opportunity for some employees to experience a tradition they had never been able to celebrate before.

The emotions shared during the celebration highlighted the importance of creating a sense of belonging among employees. By coming together to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, colleagues were able to create moments that extended beyond their everyday professional relationships.

The programme commenced with a special interaction with Sadhvi Ishdarshana, who joined the celebrations virtually and addressed the employees with an inspiring message. She appreciated their contribution and encouraged them to nurture bonds based on mutual respect and support.

The interaction was followed by the traditional Raksha Bandhan ceremony, during which employees exchanged heartfelt wishes and tied rakhis. The ceremony brought together employees in a spirit of togetherness and provided an opportunity to celebrate the festival collectively at the workplace.

Sharing his experience, a male employee of VTP Realty said, “I have never really experienced Raksha Bandhan this way before, so being part of this celebration was quite emotional for me.

What made it special was that it did not feel like just an event. There was genuine warmth among everyone, and it felt good to have someone tie a rakhi and share that moment with me.”

Through the initiative, VTP Realty continues to emphasise that employee engagement goes beyond professional milestones.

The company is creating opportunities for its people to build lasting connections, celebrate traditions and experience a stronger sense of community within the workplace.

The Raksha Bandhan initiative reflects VTP Realty’s continued focus on fostering a workplace culture centred on belonging, camaraderie and meaningful relationships.

By bringing employees together to celebrate an important festival, the company seeks to strengthen interpersonal bonds and create shared experiences among its workforce.
