TIEA Connectors Strengthens EV and Defense Supply Chains with INR 22 Crore Funding

Bengaluru: TIEA Connectors, a leading innovator in India’s Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) space, has secured ₹22 crore in funding to accelerate its growth and enhance domestic manufacturing of critical interconnect solutions.

The round was led by Jamwant Ventures and Valour Capital, with participation from 8X Ventures and IvyCap Ventures.

Founded by Ajith Sasidharan (CEO) and Punit Shridhar Joshi (CTO), TIEA Connectors specializes in designing and manufacturing customized industrial electrical and electronic connectors for high-performance sectors such as electric vehicles (EVs), aerospace, defense, and consumer electronics.

The company is incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and continues to collaborate closely on advanced R&D initiatives, including cutting-edge work in wireless power transfer and fire-retardant connectors.

With multiple patents granted and having won the prestigious IDEX Challenge – DISC 12 for defense-grade connector innovation, TIEA is emerging as a key player in reducing India’s reliance on imported components. The company is currently operating at 90% manufacturing capacity and has achieved 4x revenue growth in FY2025.
