Pune: Suzlon Group has announced the appointment of Ashok Ramachandran as President, India Business and Senior Managerial Personnel, effective June 4, 2026.
The appointment comes at a significant juncture for the company as it accelerates its transformation into a wind-first, full-stack renewable energy company.
Ashok Ramachandran brings more than two decades of global leadership experience across the energy, industrial products, and vertical mobility sectors.
His professional journey spans India, Southeast Asia, and Australia, strengthening Suzlon’s leadership team as the company focuses on expanding its growth and execution capabilities.
In his new role, Ashok Ramachandran will report to Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group.
Recognized for driving execution-led transformation across complex and high-growth industries, Ashok Ramachandran most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and board member at JSW.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term growth strategy, contributing to the rapid expansion of its capacity from nearly 5 GW to 30 GW in close to three years.
Before joining JSW, Ashok Ramachandran spent the majority of his career with Schindler Group. As CEO and President of Schindler India & South Asia, he led one of the company’s most strategic markets across manufacturing, operations, and research and development.
Under his leadership, the business achieved strong operational performance and scaled revenues three-fold from ₹1,000 crore to ₹3,000 crore.
