New Delhi: In a significant move to boost skill development and capacity building in India’s construction ecosystem, UltraTech Cement Limited has partnered with the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This collaboration involving UltraTech Cement Limited is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing technical capabilities across the construction value chain.
The MoU between National Council for Cement and Building Materials and UltraTech Cement Limited was formally signed at Ballabgarh.
The agreement was inked by Dr L. P. Singh, Director General of NCB, and Rahul Goel, Head – Technical Services at UltraTech Cement Limited.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr L. P. Singh highlighted that the collaboration with UltraTech Cement Limited is expected to significantly contribute to capacity building within the construction sector.
He expressed confidence that the initiative will help train a large number of professionals and workers over the next three to five years.

UltraTech Cement Limited NCB to Roll Out Structured Training and Certification Programmes
Under this partnership, UltraTech Cement and NCB will jointly roll out structured training and certification programmes across India.
These programmes will focus on enhancing the skills of civil engineers, ready-mix concrete (RMC) professionals, contractors, construction workers, and masons.
The initiative by UltraTech Cement Limited will cover critical areas such as material quality testing, concrete mix proportioning, durability, and sustainable construction practices.
Additionally, the collaboration involving UltraTech Cement will include workshops, on-site demonstrations, technical seminars, and exposure visits to cement plants and RMC facilities.
These efforts are aimed at strengthening practical knowledge and improving technical competencies among participants.
Aligned with key Government of India initiatives such as the Skill India Mission, the partnership with UltraTech Cement Limited is expected to support the development of a highly skilled workforce.
This workforce will be equipped to meet the evolving demands of India’s rapidly growing infrastructure and housing sectors.
