DPIIT and Repos Energy Sign MoU to Support Deep-Tech and Manufacturing Startups

New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Repos Energy to promote innovation and support startups across fuel-tech, manufacturing, and allied sectors.

The partnership with Repos aims to provide structured support to startups, particularly in manufacturing and deep-tech domains.

As part of the collaboration, DPIIT and Repos will co-host innovation challenges and hackathons, organise investor connect programmes, and roll out skill development initiatives.

The MoU also focuses on facilitating pilot opportunities and enabling market access for emerging startups.

Through this initiative, Repos Energy and DPIIT will support early-stage innovators, guiding them from ideation to prototyping. The collaboration will further leverage the Startup India platform to ensure wider outreach and increased participation from entrepreneurs across the country.

The association with Repos is expected to significantly strengthen engagement between startups and industry stakeholders.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Shri Sanjiv stated that the partnership reflects the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening India’s startup ecosystem by enabling access to infrastructure, mentorship, and market linkages.

He noted that such collaborations with organisations like Repos help accelerate innovation in key sectors such as fuel-tech, manufacturing, and supply chain technologies.

DPIIT – Repos Energy Collaboration: Fostering Indigenous Innovation

Under the agreement, DPIIT will work closely with Repos Energy India Private Limited to enhance industry–startup linkages and support the development of technology-driven solutions.

The collaboration with Repos Energy is expected to foster indigenous innovation and enable startups to scale effectively in emerging sectors.

The MoU was formally signed by Deputy Secretary, DPIIT, T L K Singh and Founder of Repos Energy India Private Limited, Aditi Bhosale Walunj, in the presence of senior officials.

The partnership with Repos Energy marks a strategic step toward strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem and promoting entrepreneurship-led growth.
