  • Tamil Nadu Startups to Receive ₹1.5 Crore in AI Compute Credits via osmAPI Initiative

    AI compute credits

Chennai: Startups in Tamil Nadu are set to receive a major boost as AI compute credits worth ₹1.5 crore are being offered by osmAPI to support their innovation and scaling journey.

As part of this initiative, AI compute credits will be extended exclusively to startups registered with StartupTN, enabling them to accelerate development in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

osmAPI, a StartupTN Smart Card Partner, has introduced this initiative to provide structured access to AI Compute Credits, helping startups overcome infrastructure barriers and focus on building scalable AI-driven solutions.

Two-Tier Support Structure for AI Compute Credits

The initiative has been designed with two distinct tiers to cater to startups at different growth stages, ensuring wider access to AI Compute Credits across the ecosystem.

    • Tier 1 – Elite Grant
      • ₹5 lakh worth AI Compute Credits for 20 high-growth AI startups
      • Total allocation: ₹1 crore in AI Compute Credits
    • Tier 2 – Growth Grants
      • ₹1 lakh worth AI Compute Credits for 50 early-stage startups
      • Total allocation: ₹50 lakh in AI Compute Credits

Through this structured model, osmAPI aims to distribute AI Compute Credits effectively among startups building impactful AI solutions.

Enabling AI Innovation Through Compute Access

The core objective of this initiative is to empower startups working in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.

These resources are essential for training models, running experiments, and deploying scalable AI applications.

Interested startups can apply through the official StartupTN portal: form.startuptn.in/AICC

StartupTN is acting solely as a facilitator in this initiative. The selection process and the fulfilment of compute credits will be managed entirely by osmAPI.

Addressing the Growing Need for AI Infrastructure

As AI continues to become foundational across industries, startups increasingly face challenges such as managing multi-LLM environments, optimizing infrastructure costs, benchmarking model performance, and ensuring secure deployments.

Access to compute credits can significantly reduce these operational bottlenecks and enable efficient scaling.

osmAPI is positioning itself as a key enabler in this space by offering a unified AI orchestration layer tailored for AI-first companies.

    osmAPI’s Unified AI Platform

osmAPI provides a unified AI gateway that simplifies access to multiple AI providers through a single API. The platform enables seamless integration with leading AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others, allowing developers to build intelligent applications without managing multiple APIs.

    Its platform capabilities include:

    • Real-time monitoring of token usage and costs
    • Cross-model benchmarking
    • Intelligent rate limiting and load balancing
    • Cost tracking and infrastructure optimization
    • Flexible deployment with enterprise-grade security
