Mobileye SuperVision and Surround ADAS Selected by Mahindra for 2027 Models

Mobileye SuperVision and Surround ADAS

Jerusalem: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has selected Mobileye SuperVision and Surround ADAS hands-free, eyes-on advanced driving assistance systems for at least six upcoming vehicle models, with production expected to begin in 2027, according to an announcement by Mobileye Global Inc. (Nasdaq: MBLY).

The program will deploy EyeQ 6 High-based systems across multiple Mahindra models scheduled for launch in 2027 and beyond.

Both Mobileye SuperVision and Surround ADAS solutions will be powered by Mobileye’s EyeQ6 High system-on-chip (SoC), integrating perception technology, Road Experience Management (REM) intelligence, driving functions, driver and occupant monitoring systems, and advanced parking capabilities on a single ECU designed by Mobileye.

The Mobileye SuperVision and Surround ADAS integration supports Mahindra’s architecture-efficiency goals, with Mobileye serving as the Tier-1 supplier across programs.

The SuperVision system uses 11 cameras, optional radars, and two EyeQ6H SoCs to enable, in designated areas and conditions, point-to-point navigate-on-pilot (NOP) capabilities, advanced parking features, and Driving Monitoring System (DMS) functionalities.

Meanwhile, the Surround ADAS system uses five cameras, multiple radars, and a single EyeQ6H SoC to enable hands-off, eyes-on highway driving in specified conditions, along with advanced parking features and driver monitoring capabilities.

Mobileye SuperVision and Surround ADAS platforms are designed to deliver advanced safety features using AI-driven technologies while consolidating multiple ECUs into a single architecture.

India, the world’s third-largest automotive market by sales, has seen growing adoption of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

This growth is being driven by increasing consumer demand for safety and driving comfort, along with regulatory initiatives such as the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP).

These trends are expected to push ADAS adoption levels closer to those seen in developed markets by the end of the decade.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s collaboration with Mobileye began several years ago with the introduction of EyeQ4M and EyeQ6L-based solutions that achieved highly rated safety performance in India.

The latest nomination marks a new phase in the Indian automotive ecosystem, highlighting the adoption of autonomous driving technologies localized for domestic requirements while supporting future export opportunities.

“This nomination demonstrates Mahindra’s commitment to advanced safety technologies and strengthens Mobileye’s long-term investment in India as a strategic hub for ADAS localization and production,” said Prof Amnon Shashua, President and CEO of Mobileye.

“We see India as a key growth market for ADAS technologies, and this program sets the foundation, now for advanced solutions as well.”
