Bengaluru: SAP, a global leader in enterprise application software and Business AI, has announced a major expansion of its global learning ecosystem under the SAP AI Skills initiative, aimed at equipping 12 million people worldwide with AI-ready skills by 2030.

The announcement reflects SAP’s commitment to transforming how professionals gain and validate SAP expertise in an increasingly AI-powered world.

The company is expanding access to high-quality, instructor-led training through new strategic partnerships and a broader network of authorized training providers.

The SAP AI Skills initiative is designed to empower organizations and individuals with practical SAP expertise required for real-world implementation challenges.

SAP AI Skills Initiative Expands Global Learning Ecosystem

To accelerate the SAP AI Skills Initiative, SAP is extending its partner-managed delivery approach for SAP Learning Class courses to ensure greater flexibility, wider geographical coverage, and multilingual accessibility.

Beginning in 2026, the expanded network of authorized partners will provide broader access to premium SAP training programs.

Over the past few years, SAP has significantly expanded its learning portfolio. Since 2022, the company has reached 4 million learners globally, while the SAP Learning site has grown from just seven learning journeys to more than 400.

SAP also recently introduced a reimagined SAP Certification approach featuring performance-based exams that allow candidates to complete hands-on assessments using AI tools such as SAP Joule for Consultants.

Currently, 65 exams – representing 61% of all SAP certifications – have been converted to this format, with all remaining certifications expected to transition by the first half of 2026.

SAP AI Skills: India Emerges as a Strategic Talent Hub

India continues to play a central role in SAP’s global skilling vision. Representing 26% of SAP’s global learner base, the country is one of the fastest-growing talent hubs supporting global digital transformation through its expanding developer and consulting workforce.

With rapid AI adoption and modernization, India currently has over 25,000 open roles requiring SAP expertise across consulting, development, and technology functions.

Organizations such as Deloitte, KPMG, Infosys, and Maruti Suzuki are actively hiring SAP professionals, including entry-level talent.

This growing demand highlights the importance of expanding access to instructor-led SAP training through a strengthened partner ecosystem to build a future-ready workforce.
