Ethiopia Agriculture Ecosystem to Be Powered by AI-Driven Digital Public Infrastructure
Agriculture plays a central role in Ethiopia’s economy, and the unified digital platform is expected to enhance service delivery while reducing fragmentation across agricultural value chains.
The digital framework will enable farmers to access credit, agricultural inputs, markets, and government services through a secure, citizen-centric, and interoperable system.
A key component of the platform is its AI-driven advisory layer, designed to deliver personalised, trusted, and local-language agricultural insights at scale.
Commenting on the mandate, Suresh Sethi, Managing Director and CEO, Protean eGov Technologies Ltd, said that India’s experience in building Digital Public Infrastructure is now being applied globally.
He noted that the initiative reflects a global shift toward open, interoperable, and citizen-centric digital foundations that can be adapted to national contexts, particularly in agriculture.
