New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, in partnership with UN Women India, has issued a global call for abstracts to identify Gender-Transformative AI Solutions that demonstrate measurable, real-world impact across the Global South.

The initiative aligns with the upcoming India–AI Impact Summit 2026 and aims to spotlight AI innovations that advance gender equality, inclusion, and empowerment.

Compendium on Gender-Transformative AI Solutions to Highlight Scalable Global South Innovations

Jointly curated by IndiaAI and UN Women India, the Compendium seeks to showcase proven, scalable, and gender-responsive AI applications developed by innovators, researchers, and practitioners.

The publication will function as a knowledge resource for global policymakers, industry leaders, and development experts committed to responsible and inclusive AI adoption.

The Compendium will feature AI-driven use cases that deliver measurable impact for women and girls across key sectors such as Health, Finance, Climate Resilience, Safety, and Education. Contributors are required to submit concise abstracts of up to 250 words by 15 December 2025 through the official portal.

Submission Process and Key Timelines for Gender-Transformative AI Solutions

Applicants whose abstracts are shortlisted will be invited to submit a full chapter of 750–800 words for inclusion in the final publication titled “Top 15 AI Solutions from the Global South.”

The Compendium will be officially released at the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for 15–20 February 2026 in New Delhi.
