Mumbai: Air India Express Navi Mumbai Airport operations are set to begin on December 25, 2025, as the airline prepares to launch flights from the upcoming NMIA.

The carrier will start with daily flights to Bengaluru and five weekly services to Delhi, expanding both routes to twice-daily operations from January 1, 2026.

Bookings for these services are now open through the airline’s website, mobile app, and leading booking channels.

Air India Express Navi Mumbai Airport Operations to Begin on Day One of Launch

According to the airline, the launch aligns with its ongoing expansion strategy, making NMIA the newest addition to its domestic network. The initial schedule from December 25, 2025, includes:

  • Navi Mumbai–Bengaluru: Daily flights (08:55–10:50)
  • Bengaluru–Navi Mumbai: Daily flights (06:00–08:10)
  • Navi Mumbai–Delhi: Five weekly flights (14:05–16:20)
  • Delhi–Navi Mumbai: Five weekly flights (11:15–13:25)

From January 1, 2026, Air India Express will enhance the Air India Express Navi Mumbai schedule with additional daily services on both Bengaluru and Delhi routes, raising the frequency to twice a day.

Commenting on the launch, Aloke Singh, Managing Director, Air India Express, said the airline is pleased to begin operations from NMIA on its first day of commercial opening.

He noted that the new airport will help unlock capacity for Mumbai and its surrounding areas while supporting seamless onward connectivity across AIX and Air India networks. He also confirmed that more flights will be introduced in phases as Air India Express expands its presence at Navi Mumbai.

Air India Express Navi Mumbai Airport Operations: Strengthening Footprint in Maharashtra

Air India Express continues to scale operations across Maharashtra, operating more than 130 weekly flights from Mumbai and over 90 weekly flights from Pune. Beginning December 1, 2025, the airline will also launch two daily flights between Nagpur and Bengaluru.

The Air India Express Navi Mumbai airport operations further integrate with the expansion in Bengaluru, where it now operates over 530 weekly flights.

Air India Express recently added new domestic routes from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, alongside new international connections to Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Riyadh.

New Brand Campaign and Cabin Experience

The airline recently rolled out its refreshed brand campaign, ‘Xplore More, Xpress More’, and showcased upgraded cabin interiors on its Boeing 737-8 aircraft.

Enhancements include more comfortable seating, improved legroom, USB charging ports, refreshed interiors, Boeing Sky Interior lighting, and ovens for serving hot ‘Gourmair’ meals.

Tales of India Initiative

Through ‘Tales of India’, Air India Express highlights the country’s cultural diversity by featuring over 50 indigenous art forms from 25 states, including Maharashtra’s Warli painting and the region’s traditional Himroo and Paithani weaves.
