IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector

Kottayam: The National Ayush Mission is set to host a two-day National Workshop on IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector from September 18–19, 2025, in Kottayam.

The event will bring together policymakers, digital health experts, and Ayush stakeholders to strengthen the digital framework and integrate Ayush services with India’s National Digital Health systems.

The workshop on IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector will be inaugurated by Veena George, Minister for Health and Women & Child Development, Government of Kerala.

The presidential address will be delivered by Rajan Khobragade, Additional Chief Secretary (Health), Government of Kerala. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, will deliver the keynote address, with a special address by Kavita Jain, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ayush.

The workshop on IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector is designed as a collaborative platform to create a centralized and interoperable digital ecosystem in the Ayush sector. The focus will be on promoting standardization, scalability, evidence-based policymaking, and citizen-centric healthcare services.

IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector: Strengthening the Digital Ecosystem

Senior officials from the Ministry of Ayush, state ministers, mission directors, IT professionals, and experts from e-governance platforms will participate. Sessions will highlight best practices from states and Union Territories, IT innovations, and orientations by the Ayush Grid team.

Discussions will cover critical digital domains such as programme management, patient care, monitoring systems, human resource management, financial tracking, and data governance.

The workshop is expected to yield important outcomes, including the establishment of a national knowledge-sharing platform on IT-enabled Ayush services and recommendations for aligning digital systems with the National Digital Health Mission.

Field Visit to Showcase Ayush Digital Models

Following the workshop, a two-day field visit (September 20–21) will be conducted across Ayush facilities in Kerala’s Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Thrissur districts.

Delegates will observe innovative service delivery models, including Ayushman Arogya Mandir (ISM & Homoeopathy), NABH Entry-Level Certified and Kayakalp Awarded Government Ayush Hospitals, the Sports Ayurveda Project, and community initiatives such as Arogyanouka, Palliative Care, Drishti, and Ayurkarma.
